MX150L™ Sealed
Connector Systems
These Pre-assembled housings and
seals provide a rugged connector system with guaranteed superior
performance under submersed water conditions.
 The MX150L sealed connector system is designed to meet the
needs for a rugged, environmentally sealed connector system
supporting both low-level signal applications as well as
power applications up to 18.0A. The MX150L family is designed
for a comprehensive range of wire styles including UL and
SAE automotive styles.
The MX150L sealed connector system is based upon the 1.50mm
ISO blade type terminal system. This cost-effective design
features all-in-one plug and receptacle housings with pre-assembled
wire and connector seals. Terminal position assurance components
eliminate the need for time-consuming and costly assembly.
With the MX150L connector, completing the application is
as simple as crimping the appropriate terminal, poking it
into place and plugging the housings together. There is no
need for additional application of individual wire seals.

MX150L™ Sealed Connector System Selection Matrix
Selecting the Right Connector |
The MX150L™ series is suitable
for UL style wire applications.
1. Determine what wire gauge is required. Select the proper
female and male terminal. MX150L has terminal options for 22-18 AWG as
well as 16-14 AWG.
2. Determine the plating requirements for the
terminals and select the proper contacts. Terminal
contacts for the MX150L series are available
with pre-Tin finishes for standard applications. Alternatively,
for critical applications where optimal wear, friction,
electrical and corrosion properties are required, selective
Gold contact finishes are available. Terminals are available
on metal strip for high volume applications as well as
in loose piece packaging.
3. Determine
the number of
circuits required
for the application
and select the
proper plug and
receptacle. The
MX150L series
supports a 2-circuit,
single row terminal
arrangement configuration,
as well as 4,6,8
and 10 circuits
in a dual-row
configuration.
4. Select
the proper application
tool. To
assure a safe
reliable wire
termination,
select the proper
application tooling.
Molex offers

crimp tooling
for high-volume,
crimp applications
as well as hand
tools for low
volume production
and field repairs.
Molex tools have
been specifically
engineered for
precision wire
and insulation
crimps necessary
for correct,
standards-based
wire termination
requirements.

terminal extraction
tool is also
available for
quick terminal
extraction needed
for field repair
applications.
