Wall Mural

Christ Church School - Mural

'The wall' was adapted from Childrens drawings on a Colouring Site I built for my Daughter. The idea was to do a mural for a local school in the same style as my other Childrens drawings.

latest gallery picturesAfter chatting with Caroline Walker, Toby Unsworth (my partner in crime), and I had a meeting at the Christ Church School in Armley with the 'Business in the Community' representative and the deputy head from the school, we discussed ideas and looked at where they wanted the mural painting.

Toby and I visited the school to measure the walls, these dimensions were then reproduced exactly on paper, so the mural design could be drawn, gridded and the final artwork transfered back on to the walls at full size.

I started sketching out the rough concept and sent this to the school for feedback. Once I had approval on the concept, I bought paint from B&Q and we started preparing and painting the wall.

Due to the fabulous English weather and work's workload, its taken a while to get the wall started we have started the painting and as requested by the School we are doing the wall in full colour, there's one more days work to be done, adding a few colours and re doing the line work, then we need to varnish the wall to seal it from the elements, then were done!
